Return of the Days of Noah
by Erlene Talbott
Some little understood rulings and regulations from Yahweh in Leviticus 19 have led to neglect to stop sin in its tracks. Disobedience has been escalating over many decades and is bringing the earth’s population to all out destruction. The rulings in Leviticus 19, some of which are very straightforward and understandable, but when we read verse 19, it takes a little more thought and study to fully understand the importance and all the aspects of these words; “don’t let your livestock mate with another kind, don’t sow your field with mingled grain, and don’t wear a garment of cloth made with two different kinds of thread.”
All of these examples speak of mixtures. In all of Scripture, we are warned about clean and unclean, righteous and unrighteous as things to understand. This holds true concerning mixed marriages with the heathen nations as pointed out in the Book of Nehemiah. In chapter 10 verse 30, and in accordance with the covenant written by Yahweh’s servants, the people agreed “we will not give our daughters as wives to the people of the land (goyim) or take their daughters as wives for our sons.” The children of Israel were agreeing, in this covenant, to return to the righteous ways of the Torah.
The mixing of seed among livestock, (Leviticus 19) is also prohibited. In Genesis One, Yahweh repeats a number of times that He created all creatures and plants as a separate “kind”; and they are meant to be kept separate. Man, in his arrogance, ignorance and rebellion imagines that he can “improve” on Yahweh’s creation. The hybrid creature; the mule is one example of this mixed breeding, the Hinny is another. Then, there is the lion and tiger hybrid. Of course, man is not content to stop even there. The pseudo scientists of today are attempting to create even more profane mixtures by injecting various animals with human genes. These monstrous creatures are reminders of ancient abominations created in the days of Noah when fallen angels experimented with humans and animals. They did this while understanding full well that they were in direct defiance of the sovereign Creator. As a result of this rebellion, Jude tells us in verse 6 “the angels (fallen ones) did not keep within their original authority, but abandoned their proper sphere; (and) He has kept in darkness, bound with everlasting chains for the judgment of the Great Day.”
Yeshua warned us that the final days would be “as it was in the days of Noah.” Man is once again repeating the same abominations.
Yahweh, in His instructions in Leviticus 19 emphasizes the need to refrain from mixing and mingling seeds; animals and threads for clothing. This is instruction we need to take note of. Research shows that sowing oats and wheat together, for instance, will result in the wheat being injured and the oats ruined. Yahweh forbids adding to or taking from anything He has created, including His Word. Hybrid food plants (non-reproducing) have proven to be unhealthy for humans. This is why so many people have taken care to preserve the pure, non-GMO seeds that will reproduce their kind. Attempting to alter Yahweh’s original creations not only feeds the original sin of pride, but creates an unholy attitude toward Him; replacing the awe and reverence which is due Him with an attitude of arrogance and an attempt to elevate man to the status of a god. The injunction against mixtures is a reminder to not mix in marriage with heathen nations and become entangled with their idol worship, forgetting the one true God, Yahweh.
II Corinthians 6:14 “Do not yoke yourselves with unbelievers for how can righteousness and lawlessness be partners?”
Solomon proved the truth of that word by “loving many strange women” who turned him away from his service to Yahweh and to idolatry; a sad end for one who began well.
We are indeed once again in times like those of the days of Noah. All the abominations created by the fallen ones of Genesis 6, and who caused the total destruction of the world by flood, are now in laboratories around the world coming to life to once again corrupt the creation of the Almighty and bring about the final cleansing of earth described in II Peter 3- the old world was destroyed by flood, but in the last days (the day of disobedience and scoffers), the world will be cleansed of its filth by fire when ungodly people will be destroyed. Those who would presume to play god and attempt to create new and monstrous forms of life will pay the ultimate penalty for their pride and arrogance. The abominations being formed by the mingling of “seed” are filthy in the sight of the Almighty. The original sin; breaking the first Commandment will result in the second death; eternal punishment.
The seemingly innocent, seemingly beneficial alterations by gene splicing to produce “more efficient products” or bring about more beneficial weapons to defeat disease; all are corrupt and will be destroyed along with those who would attempt to become gods by “improving upon” His creation. Such arrogance is unfathomable to those who love and fear Yahweh.
It behooves us all to hide His word in our hearts in order to protect ourselves from deception; even those with seemingly small beginnings. We must stay fixed on His truth, unswerving and uncompromising.
