New Age Bible Versions
by Dr. G.A. Riplinger
Some folks think they know something the rest of us don't know. For example, some folks think they know that our founding fathers really meant the 1st Amendment's reference of
freedom of religion actually means
freedom from religion, specifically Christianity. And some folks think they know better what the New Testament apostles and Old Testament scribes and prophets meant to say regarding the
deity of Jesus and any notion of
absolute moral standards.
These know-it-alls had a name 2000 years ago. They were called
Gnostics. They still are, only today's neo-Gnostics try to hide themselves under the makeup of liberal denominations and mega-churches, all the while endorsing the fundamental doctrines of that 16th Century Gnostic revival called
Rationalism, which is really
Humanism, which is identified with
Darwinism,
moral relativism and
socialism. Check it out for yourself. If you won't read Dr. Riplinger's book, Google various 1st thru 4th Century Gnostic teachers and writers, all working in and around Alexandria, Egypt. Start with
Carpocrates then look up
Philo, Basilides, Clement, Origen and especially
Arius.
Note those things these men had in common, like loose [if
any] moral standards and especially a belief in a less than divine Christ. Gnostic denied the deity of Jesus and looked to Him merely as a great teacher. And since they considered only that which is
spiritual to really matter, what men and women did in and with their
physical bodies did not, thus making morality a
relative thing.
Sound familiar? Note too that Alexandria was the center of Gnostic teaching and writing for several centuries, especially during the
4th Century in which those Alexandrian manuscripts on which
all modern bibles are based were supposedly written.
Note the tremendous difference in select words and verses found in both the KJV and these modern bibles. Note especially those words and verses that have been deleted from or changed in these modern bibles and ask yourself if the KJV doesn't do a better job of reproving Gnostic doctrines.
Dr. Riplinger also does a wonderful job establishing the link between Gnostics and other pagans of the past with today's New Age supporters. If you have a mind, open it then read
